Resources represent the base commodities in The Settlements' universe, and are generated by game assets - Settlements, Islands and Ships.
The spending functionality for resources is currently in development. They are only accumulative in the current game state.
In future updates, Settlers will be able to spend resources to create more in-game assets such as more ships, buildings, and other elements you'd expect in a civ builder.
Currently each V2 game asset is able to generate resources, but each does so in a different way.
Settlements passively generate resources at a rate based on their Core Traits. The traits that influence this rate are Realm, Size and Morale.
Resources are generated with every block on the blockchain. The Realm, Size, and Morale of each settlement holds a numerical value that factors into the Resource generation formula. These values are found below.
The formula that determines the Resource generation rate is as follows:
Realm x Size x Morale x (1 รท 300)
Example:
A gold-producing settlement in Keskella (4) that is a District (5) with an Expectant (2) Morale will produce 0.13 $GOLD per block.
